ACE V3+ Xbox 360 Glitch Chip

The ACE V3+ is a pre-programmed glitch chip designed for use with compatible Xbox 360 Corona motherboards.

Straight out of the packet, the chip is configured for use with Corona boards and can provide reliable boot performance when correctly installed.

The ACE V3+ can also be reprogrammed with suitable timing files for RGH 1.2 installations, including use with compatible Trinity consoles. When programming the chip, please note that the programming pinout differs slightly from some other ACE revisions, so two wires on the programming cable must be swapped.

Ideal for Corona Installations

Because the ACE V3+ is supplied pre-programmed for Corona motherboards, it is a convenient choice for installers using a NAND programmer that does not support glitch-chip programming directly.

This makes it particularly useful alongside devices such as the Matrix/MTX SPI NAND Flasher, provided the console uses a compatible NAND type.

Check Your Corona NAND Type

Before choosing your NAND programmer, check whether the console uses a:

• 16MB NAND
• 4GB NAND

For 16MB Corona motherboards, a compatible SPI NAND programmer can be used.

For 4GB Corona motherboards, an SPI NAND flasher is not suitable. A compatible 4GB NAND read/write tool or SD-based tool will be required instead.

Postfix Adapter Compatibility

Some Corona motherboard revisions may also require a postfix adapter.

A useful initial check is to inspect the motherboard for components around:

• R2C6
• R2C7
• R2C10

However, the most reliable method is to remove the heatsink and visually inspect whether the required POST trace is present.
