Our #444 Fine Solder Wick is a high-quality desoldering braid designed for removing excess solder from PCBs, component pads and through-hole connections.

This braid has been produced using a fine copper weave to improve contact with the solder joint and provide efficient solder absorption during electronics repair and rework.

We use this type of braid regularly in our own workshop for console, PCB and general electronics repair.

How to Use

1. Place the solder wick over the solder you want to remove.
2. Position the heated soldering iron tip on top of the braid.
3. Allow the solder to melt and wick into the copper braid.
4. Remove the iron and braid together once the solder has been absorbed.
5. Cut away the used section before continuing.
6. Repeat if additional solder remains.

For improved performance, applying a small amount of suitable flux to the joint or braid can help the solder flow more easily.
